New message from Katura

Everyone,

We made it to North Carolina last night and were able to see Karin's family (including Kevin, Kien and Aria) at the hotel and then again this morning in the hotel. The kids are just as darling as they in their photos.

Becky and I were able to talk to Karin's parents last night on what we would like to do as a class. Karin's friends from Furman pulled together $1500 for the kid's college fund accounts. From talking to Karin's Dad what sounds would be the best is the "Karin's Angels" fund and have that be used for anything that Steve would need for the kids. Karin's dad was telling us that Steve is currently out on FMLA on unpaid leave. He had used all of his vacation up this year and has already borrowed a week of vacation from next year. In addition he now has 3 kids in private preschool plus a nanny and doing this all as a single Dad now.

We told everyone how Karin was still organizing us and has pulled us as a class together. They were touched that they have been in everyone's thoughts and prayers from our class. They said right now Steve has been so busy with everything, but they know in a week it is going be very hard for him and the kids. For us who are on Facebook, Steve and Karin's mom brother are on there.
